History
In the fall of 1994 the Gavin family purchased the assets of Monadnock Fabricators.
Ann Gavin, President, oversees contracts, project management, detailing,
production, human resources, technology, and accounting.
Paul Gavin, Vice President, took charge of modernizing the plant and
estimating/sales. Their extensive background in manufacturing encouraged a new focus on production efficiency and accuracy.
With a core of experienced employees to guide them, this group of fifteen quickly grew.
FAMM's
commitment to quality detailing and on-time delivery has allowed us to build a
reputation for accurate steel, delivered when promised. FAMM's commitment to our
subcontractors has allowed us to build a reputation for components delivered
on-time and steel erected on schedule.
From 1996 to 1998 the company grew 107% and was listed as one of New Hampshire's fastest growing companies (Business NH Magazine Sept., 1999). This rapid, controlled growth, 57% in 2000, has allowed us to expand our facilities and strengthen our commitment to technology with powerful new equipment.

We have
a 150,000 sq ft fabrication facility situated on 14 acres in Rindge, NH.
How many tons does
FAMM fabricate?
Our weekly tonnage varies quite a bit depending on the types
and complexity of projects we are fabricating. We average about 175 tons a week.
What sort of work does
FAMM do?
We
fabricate structural steel for all types of construction. Our typical projects
include office and retail buildings, warehouses, and apartments. Sports facilities
have also comprised a significant part of our business in the last couple of
years.
Does FAMM fabricate
Miscellaneous Metals?
Yes, FAMM fabricates the majority of the miscellaneous metals we are awarded. We
strive to install stairs with the steel package.

Yes, FAMM Steel has been certified by the AISC for Conventional and Complex Buildings
(Category II) for the last 8 years.
